HoverPage Web Browser app good for
Its 2016 and you cant reorder projects in Squarespace on an iPad. Unless you use this handy app.
Sure, it looks like a pre-iOS 7 app but not even the (best alternative iOS browser) iCab mobile can let you do this.
This app is actually very well made and surprisingly speedy. Its hover option is perfect for websites that require you to hover over a link to access a drop down menu, which is impossible to do on touch-screen based browsers like safari and chrome on the iPad.
Easily solved my problem of accessing these menus. Also a very speedy browser. Lacks some more advanced options that make safari and chrome iconic and customizable, but an absolutely great app to have in your back pocket for the drop down sites. Thanks!
Some bad moments
I have had my iPad for almost one year.
I have been looking for a way to open sub-links on websites from day one.
I found this app today and am completely amazed. It is so simple and works great.
The only reason I did give it 5 stars is because I have only tested it on a few sites.
But for 99 cents you cant help but try it.
You will be happy you did!!!
As a browser it is slow and clunky and I couldnt even access the web page I bought it for. It would be clever if it worked in addition to safari or chrome as a tool. I want my dollar back!
Please add the ability to save bookmarks. Right now, have to enter the whole website URL everytime I open the app. Thank you
The creator, on the support page, says the app will only work on JavaScript-based hover links, and wont work on CSS-based links. The site I bought the app for must use CSS, because non of the hover/mouseover functionality works. I am totally dissatisfied.
All browsers that I have tried will not allow me to access my works drop down menu. I tried this browser as a last resort but it did not work either. I do not blame this browser, I am sure that it must be either a security feature from my work or bad web design.
This app is a really nice one to have in a pinch. The app works as advertised, and despite its iOS 6 styling it loads the modern system keyboard… so, bonus!
